Welcome! If you are a queer, trans, gender expansive, and/or neurodivergent person, you know all too well that there are not a lot of places made for us. There are not enough spaces where our unique gifts are celebrated and where we get to be fully ourselves in all our extremes.

Thrive As You Are is one of those spaces where you don’t have to pretend or conform. You don’t have to survive while wearing a mask. There is no need to be any less of who you are. We will work with your unique strengths, interests, and desires to help create a life that YOU want to live.

Who you are is enough. You are amazing!

In the therapy practice, we will explore how the things that always made you different (ie your neurodivergence, gender identity, sexual orientation) are not an indicator that you are wrong or broken. Who you are is a gift.

We all face challenges in life. We can work together on: navigating gender dysphoria, shutdowns/meltdowns, panic attacks, trauma, executive functioning, relationships, conflict, eating disorders, exercise compulsion/aversion, etc. Living in a world not made for us can like an obstacle course full of surprises. AND as a queer, trans*, autistic ADHDer, I fully believe that we have a right to show up as our true selves. 

Therapy is a space to grow and thrive into the amazing person that you already are. I offer virtual TeleHealth sessions (individual and group therapy) to residents of Washington DC, Maryland, and Oregon. I also offer Walk-and-Talk sessions in DC.

Personal training is one way of exploring the relationship that you would like to have with your body and movement. Navigating health and exercise in a society obsessed with appearance is challenging. It can be especially challenging to figure out your needs as a queer and/or neurodivergent human. We can work together on navigating gender dysphoria, chronic pain/conditions, sensory and stimulation needs, executive functioning challenges, exercise aversion, compulsive exercise, and tendencies towards overstimulation. It is less about a following a plan and more exploring options that might work for you and your body.
